party on the university of southern california campus. usc police say two people were detained shortly after the shooting, which happened just last night just before midnight. the four people injured were rushed to l.a. hospitals. no word on their conditions this morning. >>> and not far from that shooting three people were injured in hollywood when shots were fired into a halloween crowd there. l.a. police say three people taken to hospitals one of them a 17- year-old is critically injured with gunshot wounds to the chest and the leg. at least three men have been arrested. >>> oakland police are looking into the shooting death of a man at a cell phone store. it happened about 7:00 last night at a metro pcs store and international boulevard. investigators believe it was connected to a robbery attempt but they are not releasing any information about the victim or any possible suspects. >>> 4:33. now under arrest a man who smashed a muni bus window. san francisco police are crediting social media for the help and now there are two other guys the police would like to catch, as well. cbs 5

are following breaking news out of los angeles. the university of southern california remains on locktown after a shooting on campus. at least four people are in the hospital. police are two men, they say one opened fire during a halloween party shortly before midnight. usc issued an alert to students and staff. one of the victims undergoing surgery. three others suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. >>> in hollywood three people were hit after a gunman started shooting near the intersection of hollywood boulevard and highland avenue where hundreds were out celebrating halloween. three men were taken away in cuffs. 17-year-old in critical. the other two victims are going to be okay. >>> 3200 nurses in the east bay are set to begin a one-day strike this morning they work at several hospitals managed by sutter health. the walk-out will be the six inn in a series by members of the california -- the sixth in a series by members of the california nurses association. sutter health says replacement nurses have been brought in. >>> thousands of bay area homeowners with mortgages they cannot afford. th

opened yesterday. >> the diversity of southern california for people were shot on campus and around 1145 after a halloween party. there about a hundred students gathered for this party that was hosted by campus student organization. four people were shot and one person is in critical condition. all four are in hospital. two people were taken into custody, the people that were shot as those of people taken into custody were not students. classes will be resuming at you as see this morning. >> to children in santa rosa were struck in hurt by a car while tracker trading last night. a tenure a boy and a four year-old girl were walking in a crosswalk just ahead of their parents when they were struck by a car. they were taken to the hospital and it does not appear that their injuries are life threatening. the driver did stop and is cooperating with police. there is a one day strike to protest concessions that they say management is demanding. this will be the sixth strike and a series of strikes. they're upset about contracts that are under negotiation for about 18 months. this walkout is supp
